The Process

Step 1 – Register your pool

Register your pool with your local Council prior to the 1 June 2020.  This needs to be carried out by the homeowner.

Step 2 – Obtain council statement

Obtain your council statement on when the pool/barrier was installed. If you are unable to ascertain a date in which the pool was constructed, Council will make a determination on relevant standard of Pool barrier compliance.

Upload this Council statement along with your contact details to our website and book inspection.

Step 3 – Inspector Pool Fence

Have Inspector Pool Fence visit the site and carry out inspection on the Pool Safe Barriers in place.

Inspection and Certificate of Compliance $399 Inc GST

Re-Inspection $255 Inc. GST

Step 4 – Lodge certificate

Once your certificate Form 23 is issued, it must then be lodged with your local council.   Certificates are Valid for 30 days from the date of Issue, failure to submit Certificate within this timeframe may result in a need for Re-inspection.

Please Note –  A lodgement fee of $20.40 applies to most councils.

Step 5 – Automated reminder

Inspector Pool Fence will send an automated reminder to you in 3 and a half years’ time to remind you that your next inspection is almost due.
